This exercise focuses on residential buildings for the new waterfront area. There are many types of residential building designs, each with specific properties.
You may choose from 12 different objects that represent these residential building design types. Some buildings have their first floor in yellow, which indicates that the floor is used for shops. Buildings with dark green faces represent skybridges and parkdecks. It is also indicated in the description whether the building is an HDB block or condominium.
All 12 building blocks are taken from existing precincts in Singapore. These are used more to indicate the type of design than its exact shape.
Design your perfect housing district in the new waterfront city!
Two areas, one near the future Cantonment MRT station and one south-east of the CDB, are designated as model housing districts.
The non-editable surrounding area consists of other residential precincts, offices (blue), commercial areas (yellow) and cultural attractions (grey block).
