This short exercise will help planners better understand how people imagine their future neighbourhoods, and what kinds of places they find important. In the exercise, you will be provided with a site along the Tanjong Pagar waterfront. By moving around the standard objects provided on the site and adding extra objects by clicking on them in the side bar, you can design your perfect neighbourhood, the way you imagine it. You will be able to place many kinds of objects (buildings, parks, …) on the site; all options are listed after the instructions below, for your reference.

When you start the exercise, we suggest a number of steps you can follow to guide you during your design.

How would you design the future Waterfront of Tanjong Pagar?

Create your perfect neighbourhood in the blank area on the map. This area is located east of Harbour Front.

The objects that are already placed on the site must be used. Move them around as you see fit, and add new objects by clicking on them in the side bar.
