This short exercise will help planners better understand the key attributes that result in nice and lively public spaces.. You will be given an empty space to place various objects. This empty space is located in a mixed-use area with shops and restaurants on the ground level, and residential and offices on the upper floors. You will be able to place many kinds of objects on the site; all options are listed after the instructions below, for your reference.

How to design your perfect public space?

Create your perfect public place in the middle of the surrounding buildings.

Place as many objects you would like to include. This location could be anywhere in the new waterfront city.

Instructions

Left mouse button:

  • Move camera horizontally
  • Select / unselect and move objects

Scroll wheel:

  • Zoom in / out

Right mouse button:

  • Move camera vertically
  • Rotate selected object

Submit your proposal by clicking the blue button.

Click on the Info tab to see more information about the selected object.

Technical requirements: Best experience on desktop computers with Chrome. No tool access when connected to eduroam at NUS.
